Residential Trips
As well as lots of fun and educational day trips, at Mercer's Wood Academy children have an opportunity to go on a Residential Trip:
Year 6 - PGL
We think it is lovely to give our children different life experiences and these trips offer that and so much more. Taking part in activities, learning valuable team building skills and seeing the teachers join in is just part of the fun!

Further Information
We routinely arrange educational visits to local areas of interest, such as churches as well as travelling by coach to museums and other areas of interest which relate to children’s learning. We will always notify you if children are going on a visit and seek permission if we are going on a coach visit. We may sometimes ask for voluntary contributions to assist in the cost of such visits.
The Headteacher and teachers reserve the right to refuse to take any child whom they judge to be a health and safety risk due to behavioural issues or will adversely affect the well-being and happiness of the group. It is the Trust’s intention to include all children on educational visits wherever practicable. However, children demonstrating persistent disruptive behaviour and violent or verbal abuse during the weeks prior to the visit may not be included. Parents and carers will always be notified if this is the case.
